In admiration of the sacred Ama culture, The Ama’s Sea Kelp Stock is fine-tuned for preserving youth & longevity. A kelp & mushroom based recipe I developed as a tribute to the Ama women of a small town in Ise-Shima, Japan. Ama, meaning ‘women of the sea’ free dive through kelp forests in deep, freezing waters to harvest nourishments from the sea; making a living by feeding their community. The centuries-old, highly respected tradition is slowly vanishing, yet these Ama are recognized as some of the healthiest on record. Their sacred culture merits recognition.
