I try to be healthy, and positive, and gentle, and a 'light' for y'all. But this does not come natural for me, sadly. (Enter cheesy 80's infomercial voice here) That is why I created this Medicine Coffee. The answer is in your coffee cup! I should NOT start my day without it. Ask my children, my clients, husband, friends, family...
I suck in the morning.
Speaking to my core belief in 'taking responsibility for our emotional health' so as to not be a detriment to our loved ones, anyone around us, and (most importantly) ourselves - I made this magic coffee. It solves issues, marriage problems, preteen blow outs... my magic pill; it's legal, and now I am sharing it with all y'all.
Issues Solved By Medicine Coffee:
PMS
emotional problems
family problems
acid burn from a large cup of popular coffee
lethargy, the grumps, lack of motivation for anything
coffee stains on your shirt from drinking and driving
saves money ($.75 vs $3-5)
Espresso & add-on ingredient perks:
Nespresso for me, it has to be Kazaar. First is the cost... $.75 a day! (plus my healthy add-ons). The highest amount of caffeine in the smallest volume. For my stomach, large cups of coffee is painful. I love downing my 'medicine,' feeling the rush as it injects itself into my blood... then getting along with my day. No fuss, and it tastes delightful. I also buy the Decaf or lighter caffeine flavors if I want to indulge in a second cup later in the day.
Nespresso Essenza Mini Espresso Machine by Breville - this small, affordable espresso machine has been a lifesaver. When I was a single Mom I broke it ($) down to the nitty-gritty on cost efficiency. This machine will provide you with the most bang for your buck and get you through the day with a pep-in-your-step. Mine is an old model, it has lasted me the past 5 years and counting! Small enough to travel with and keep my routine on track.
Collagen for hair, skin, nails, and gut support. The one I use is nearly tasteless and the granules are so fine it dissolves more efficiently than any others I have tried. I add it to my broth, ginger teas, soups, smoothies.
Ghee for gut health, boosting your digestive system, and getting things "moving." When I am really streamlining, I make my own. When I get there again, I will show you how. But until then I enjoy
Local Honey or Manuca for allergies, antioxidants, natural sweetness to cut the acid in the coffee. Local honey depends where you are reading from. But the Manuca I recommend. I have done a ton of research on trying to understand the terminology and abbreviations... and this is what I nailed it down to. Give it a shot if it fits your budget!
Vitamin D3 + K2. We live in Idaho, so an extra boost of vitamin D is crucial for Northern states. I like the tasteless oil drops.
Ceylon Cinnamon is great to sprinkle on top daily. It fights inflammation, supports sluggish metabolism, and the Ceylon flavor has a unique 'Hot Tamale' 'Fireball' reference.
Heavy Whipping Cream. I love our local creamery Cloverleaf in Buhl. But any will work just fine.I add a smidge to cut any acid and also supports a little Ketosis magic.
With Medicine Coffee I am treating my body and everyone else around me. I had a client send me home once, for showing up too early and not having my coffee first. Lesson learned - people actually notice. Although we remained friends, that was an "AH-HA" moment that we chuckle over still.
Now that you have the research and the ingredients for Medicine Coffee, here is a rookie blogger glimpse of how to make it. While preparing this montage, I oiled my pretty cutting board to photograph better, then oiled the machine, and the ghee jar to make them more shiny. Half-way through I dropped and spilled from all the slippery cutting board oil. In efforts to be genuine, you might enjoy the process of attempting at a blog post.
Another thing I did learn about blogging today guys... How to use affiliates! All products are available in my Blog Products Shop.
Enjoy a little art treat at the end. Jean Claude & Christo were a wonderful team in business and love. This is a nice piece of art to read about while you enjoy your coffee. I wanted to show their work in the background of my au natural and 'still have a cold' selfie.
Enjoy Medicine Coffee.
